EDVARD MacDOWELL, To a Wild Rose, Op.51 from Woodland Sketches JOHN OCONOR A tune for solo violin or cello, inspired by traditional American and Scandinavian fiddling. The cello version was made famous by Yo-Yo Ma, friend of the composer.
The piece is a bit repetitive, and since I cannot achieve the pure beauty as Yo-Yo Ma does it, I preferred focusing on the "waltz" part, making the atmosphere of the piece more diverse and dancing.
