Four Letter Word OST Стражи Галактики Billy Squier Ultimate driving arcade machine. Cabinet was an original Cruisin' Exotica. I removed and sold original game boards and 25" EGA monitor. Monitor was replaced by a de-cased 1994 JVC 27" TV. Original bezel removed and replaced with custom-crafted 27" bezel. Original 4-way shifter was removed and replaced by a Happs High/Low shifter, as this is a much more universal method of shifting on racing games. High was run in parallel to the "X" button, and Low was run parallel to the "A" button. Original lighted Radio, and 3 View button plastic labels were removed and replaced with back-lit film cutouts of letters "A", "B", "X", and "Back/Credit" to match original XBOX controller buttons and colors. 6 black pushbuttons were added for Y, Lthumb,Rthumb, Black, White, and EXIT buttons. 4 chrome low profile buttons were added for up/down/left/right dpad buttons.

Software is running on an original XBOX, which I soft-modded and upgraded to contain a 120GB hard-drive. Menu is a custom version of Vision front end that provides a selection of over 100 classic arcade, console, and XBOX racing games. Just for fun a few paddle-type games and side-to-side shooters were also added.

Original stereo speakers were augmented with a custom-built enclosed 8" Kicker subwoofer and powered by a Crunch 450watt 4-channel car amplifier running in bridged 3 channel mode. 12v power to amplifier and 5v power for lighted buttons is provided by an Antec 650w PC power supply cannibalized from an old PC. PAC-1 volume controller mounted beneath center console within easy reach.

Original arcade wheel and pedals were directly connected to a chopped up Mad Catz MC2 driving controller board. Had to add a small resistor inline on the ground wire to keep XBOX from sensing a short and rebooting when the black button was pressed.

Original 5k pedal pots had to be opened and silver conductive liquid applied to half of resistor band so that the pedals short throw would still result in full extension during game-play.

Hi-res marquee graphic found online in public domain and enhanced with custom "Mega Racer" logo. Printed on backlit film with adhesive back and applied to original marquee glass.

EXIT button activates left trigger, right trigger, back, and start buttons at same time, thus allowing easy exit of any game back to the menu.
